Gokulam to bolster attack before Real Kashmir match

Gokulam Kerala FC coach Bino George has said that the Kozhikode-based I-League team will bounce back after their shock defeat against East Bengal FC in Kolkata. The team has arrived here after the away match and face Real Kashmir FC at home in their next Hero I-League match on December 15.

“We did some costly mistakes in the first half of the match. Before the players could recoup, we were down by two goals. However, the boys fought well. We had a possession of 60 percent and if not about some unfortunate decisions by the referee, we could have won the match,” he said.

Bino believes that GKFC should have won a penalty when Sabah was brought down by East Bengal goalie. “It is unfortunate. But there is no point in complaining. We will look into the mistakes and try to correct it,” he said.

Bino said that the club is in look out for foreign strikers after the departure. “We need to bolster attack and there should be a quality striker upfront. We are trying to sign a foreigner before Real Kashmir match,” the coach said.

The coach also praised Christian Sabah for his debut goal. “He played really well. But this is only a glimmer of his abilities. Fans are yet to see his abilities. He is slowly adapting to the league,” he said.

The problem with Gokulam Kerala FC is not only the scoring or the attacking department.
looking at the entire 7 matches (5H & 2A) played so far, Gokulam Kerala FC has scored 10 goals and conceded 10 goals.
This means if the attackers score, they still have a porous defence to concede.
In as much as the manager (Bino George) is making sure he score, he should also tighten his defence not to concede to cancel goals scored.

Gokulam Kerala FC next match which will be played home against the rising Real Kashmir FC won’t be an easy game.
Per Real Kashmir FC 7 matches (6H & 1A) played so far, 10 goals has been scored and has conceded 5 goals.
This means they are very good at Scoring and very tight at the back.

    New Players
Christian Sabah from Ghana who has just been introduced into the team has played 2 matches and scored one . It looks encouraging and promising.
On the other hand, Abednego Kofi Tetteh also from ghana has featured in 2 matches for Real Kashmir FC and has scored 2 goals which look more promising.

Gokulam Kerala FC has a lot of work to do if the team is going for win.
The defence will be very busy as they feel the heat from the 2 attackers (Abednego & Krizo) of Real Kashmir Fc.

    Good Luck Gokulam Kerala FC
